THE Magic Kingdom

We love Disney. I love Walt Disney. I think I love Disneyland a little better than Disney World- but don't tell anyone! We could feel the past 2 weeks wearing on us and we had a few not-so-stellar-moments. You know the ones. When you see the family, grumpy-faced, walking several paces apart in a speedy fashion. Parents grumbling and occasionally calling out in a (I'm positive!) not angry yet stern voice attempting to not be heard by the passers-by but clearly by all children involved. Yes. Those moments. But all in all, another wonderful day in the sun with Mickey magic.

On the way in we were entertained by a sky writer. We all had guesses as to what each line added would create. This smiley face ended up saying " Jesus loves you". Interesting.

Happy Anniversary!

All I wanted for myself on our 3-week trip was an adult-only night out for our anniversary. We were celebrating 16 years! How time flies. Tom and Elizabeth suggested one of their favorites- Kobe. Delish! It doesn't take much to get me to eat yummy tepanyaki!

We toyed with the idea of a movie or bowling but nothing sounded fun enough. We wanted something different. When I suggested lazer tag, Tom was lucky enough to find Hard Knocks online. So much fun!! I think all 6 of us felt like kids the entire time! (Except, of course, when we felt surrounded by all those teenagers!) It is an entire warehouse set up for lazer tag. There is a mock office and the other room is a mock warehouse. You choose your team, choose your weapon, and are given a mission to accomplish- the team with the surviving player is the winner. I wish I could describe it better for you because we spent 3 hours there! There was a lot of running, laughing, shooting and sweating involved - and I wouldn't have traded any of it!

Visiting the gardens

Florida is sunny year round - thus, what a perfect place to see amazing plants, foliage and trees! Elizabeth, Maisyn, me and the Bresnahan's spent a morning at the Henry Lou Gardens (correct me, Elizabeth, if my memory has the name wrong!). There is a historical home tour and paths and walkways meandering several acres. The house was incredible! Those of you who know me well, know that I love museums and this did not disappoint! The sun was shining, we were with family and we got to see plants we've never even heard of before. Terri and Brian had gone on their last visit to Fl, and I would recommend it to anyone!

This was the one park that the entire family went to together. What a day! The weather was perfect as usual and Epcot was full of amazing things to see and do. We loved the rides and exhibits, the Coke tasting one tasted nasty I hear, and what could be more fun than visiting 10 different countries in one evening?

80's Flashback...

So here they are in all their glory. These were taken at the Kent Stake Youth Dance Feb. 13, 1988. (Thanks, ReNae, for the accurate and detailed labeling!) For some strange reason, Vasu and Mark have no recollection of this dance, these pictures, nor the spiffy attire. As Larry is in St. George with these old friends as I type , I am uploading these from the old photo album to help refresh their memories. I giggle every time I look at these blasts from the past. And I'm sure that is what they will be doing when they see this post! So I hope you guys are having a great time down there, reminiscing and making new memories, golfing, eating, playing ball. There's not much like time with old friends!
