Our first day in the sun!

Yes. This is December 18th. Yes. This is sunshine you are seeing. And, yes. I don't miss the white Christmas even for a minute! It turned out, for those that don't know already, that the 3 days we took our kids out of school prior to break turned out to be snow days. Yippee for the education monger that I am. My girls were already ahead of the game! But back to what is truly important- the sun. Did I mention the sunshine? We woke up and the kids put their swimsuits on right away to hang out by the pool. It was like a dream. 10am. 75 degrees. Blue skies. Sunshine. If you know me, you know that I was in heaven. So, thank you Florida!

Payton thought the water was still too chilly! But the others all got in time and time again!

Larry asked Tom to get the boat out and ready for a trip on the lake- right across the street, thank you very much! There were a few things that needed to be done since the boat had been packed away for the winter- yes, giggle, I did! They consider this winter!
This is a picture of Larry under the boat still on the trailer which is being held up by half a concrete block.
This is the concrete block split in half from the weight of the trailer and boat which, luckily, was caught by the flat tire and spared crushing Larry's head and neck by mere inches. I was just glad to have walked away before I heard the crack!
And thanks, Andy, for attempting to pick up the entire lot to save your uncle's life- you're my hero!
