You may not have known we were even expecting! But, yes, this is my new baby!
Larry is always looking out for a good deal on my dream car and yesterday he hit the jack pot! I threw caution to the wind and said he should check it out after I received the email about it. That was all he needed. Then, when we were out shopping for Sydney's new CTR ring and bible, I thought, "Hey, we're in the car, we're out, why not?" We called the people and drove out to Port Orchard. Yes, it needs some work, some TLC if you will. But I love it. I LOVE IT! She looked so cute on the drive home. (I had Larry drive her home because I was a little nervous to get on the freeway in this 4-speed relic!) He was flooring it and still crawling up all the hills. But we finally made it. He even drove the whole way with the top down. Doesn't she look good in my driveway? Granted, she did smoke for quite some time after she got home, but I'm sure a good tune-up will fix her right up.
So I haven't thought of a name yet. I am taking suggestions if you have any. She's a 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle. Her name must say it all, yet be simple and sweet at the same time. Think hard folks. She's going to be around for a long time and every baby deserves a good name!

Love it! Love love it! You are an inspiration to those of us who wish to have a dream car of our own someday... (Tallulahmobile, anyone?) So my suggestion, how about Matilda?I really have no real reason for the name, other than loving the name Matilda... and she looks like a Matilda to me... Believe me, I'm all about naming the vehicles- My first was Rex the Wondertruck, Jim had a truck named Lulu... etc. ANYHOW, congrats on your FUN new purchase!
